The Florida Eels welcome rookie forward Marc-Aleixandre Quintal from the State of Washington

The Eels sign its second player in franchise history from the State of Washington: Marc-Aleixandre Quintal He joins fellow veteran Eel teammate Alec Parr who was also from Washington. The Eels first scouted Quintal at the USA Hockey High School All Stars at the Americas Cup in Pittsburgh two seasons ago and then the Eels coaching staff followed Quintal and his high school and midget teams’ accomplishments where they were extremely successful at the USA Hockey Nationals. This year Aleixandre joined the Eels in post season play showcases including the USPHL Showcase and the Pro Am Sr. Chowder Cup.

Eels Elite Coach Greg Sears commented that he liked the way Quintal played at the Sr. Chowder Cup.. His work in the corners and his battle in all three zones. He did this in the face of some very talented players in tough competition many who were freshman in college. In the lockeroom Coach Frankie said he was very positive. His attitude fits right in with the Eels passion.

Quintal delivers this intensity on and off the ice. GM Scarpaci liked his winning attitude. He obviously has played on winning teams and we want that kind of mentality on our squad. It is funny comments GM Scarpaci. Every player has the “Will To Win” After all nobody goes out to play hockey without that. But it is the guy who has the willingness to make the sacrifices, and take all necessary steps to put in hours of effort to make it happen is not so common. We think Marc-Aleixandre has this intangible asset. That is why we brought him in to our program. He has been training all week at the Eels first week of Pre Season Training camp and has been like a sponge. Taking everything in and we readily see he is very coachable concludes Coach Scarpaci. We know he will do quite well and will play a key role in our program this season. Concludes Coach Sears. Welcome to the Eels
