He served as USP3 Eels Assistant Captain last season. He spent ½ dozen games with the Eels Elite team last season as well. He has a strong hockey IQ. He is a tenacious fore-checker and forces many a turnovers on opposing attackers. He is equally relentless on the back-check realizing the importance of being a two-way player.

Kellen is mature for his age. He is always willing to do what ever it needs to be done on and off the ice. That is the key reason his teammates voted him as assistant Captain last season. With several years under his belt he will bring enormous experience to the program this year. He is a team player and never looking for individual accolades. He has developed from within the Eels program for the 5 years playing midget U16, high school hockey and juniors.

Kellen is looking to play college hockey up north in 2018-19 like so many of his former teammates who played for the Eels. Hence, this year will be his time and opportunity to perfect his skills and conditioning to get prepared for his college future. We are thrilled he will be back once again and look forward to him having a strong year for us this season.
