The Eels Premier coach Frankie Scarpaci heads to Pittsburgh PA this Thursday – Monday for the USA Hockey High School All Star Nationals – the Americas Cup. The Eels have been scouting and recruiting at the Americas Cup for over a decade. We have brought in over 30 of players over this period. The showcase format selects high school all-stars from various regions and places them on respective teams. For example, there is a team from Massachusetts, New England, New York, New Jersey, 2 from Missouri, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Indiana, 2 from Florida, Texas, 2 from California, Oregon, Pacific Coast, Arizona, Washington State, Washington DC, Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, North Dakota, Montana, Utah, and a ½ dozen others. In all, there are over 550 players annually. Competing at this event. The Eels will have Premier Head Coach Frankie Scarpaci along with his Northern Scout there working this venue. We have already spoken with several players and are very encouraged by the opportunities presented at the America’s showcase.

GM Frank Scarpaci is also on the road and in the air as he heads out to the prestigious Cali Prospects Showcase in LA California. This too is a phenomenal showcase hosting over 350 players. He will be in good company with Scouts from the NHL, 8 NCAA Division I colleges, 4 Major Junior Canadian teams, 28 USHL/NAHL teams and 10 BCHL teams and 10 USHL and EHL teams. This is the Eels first time attending the Cali Showcase and we are very excited about embarking on this venture as we get to see new players and new faces at a new forum.
