The Florida Eels lay out another explosive offensive performance in their final season game Monday against the Palm Beach Hawks with a score of 6-1. The game was an unusual Monday matinee at 11:30 am between the two clubs at the Fort Myers Skatium. It was the 2nd game between these two clubs over the weekend. The Eels laid a full-scale aerial attack on the Hawks Saturday with a 8-2 unleashing on the Hawks in Palm Beach. This was the 3rd game in as many nights as they played the Tampa Juniors in Tampa on Sunday where we all witnessed the Eels unravel Tampa 5-3.

No doubt the Eels came out a bit tired after playing two previous away games over the weekend. This was not only their 3rd game but the previous two were away and I mean clearly across the State to the East Coast of Florida 3 hours away. Then the Eels had to travel back to Fort Myers quite late and get up Sunday morning to travel another 2 ½ hours north of Tampa to Chapel Hill Florida, the new home of the Tampa Juniors. And then travel back for this early afternoon home game.

The guys stayed their course Elite Head Coach Frankie Scarpaci echoed. We may have been tired but the boys managed to keep up to their customary tempo spotting 23 shots in the 1st period scoring one, and then perked up for another 20 shots on goal netting another one. But in the 3rd period the Eels came out with even more step in their stride and drove hard at the net for another 27 shots totaling 70 on the Hawks goaltender scoring 4 more for a 6-1 final.

Scoring for the Eels went as follows:

54 Jordan Court (power play) (26 Colton Crabtree, 35 Trey Kovalick)
16 Zac Boyle (power play) (13 Jean-Simon Robidoux, 21 Nicholas Magill-Diaz)
19 Michael Gennello (power play) (26 Colton Crabtree, 97 Caden Tchop
97 Caden Tchop (even strength) (79 Richard Allgood, 26 Colton Crabtree)
13 Jean-Simon Robidoux (power play) (9 Clayton Boyd, 16 Zac Boyle)
13 Jean-Simon Robidoux (even strength) (10 Brian Kozek, 21 Nicholas Magill-Diaz)

In net for the Eels was Trey Kovalick who turned away 20 of 21 shots for a very strong performance.
