USPHL to Host Showcase on College Campus, Over 100 Scouts Expected

Boston, MA (October 16, 2016) – The Islanders Hockey Club Showcase returns on Friday, November 10-14, to the Volpe Athletics Center at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA, and the Skate 3 Arena in Tyngsboro, MA. The event plans to feature teams from the Premier, Elite, USP3, 18-and-under and 16-and-under USPHL divisions playing in front of over one hundred college and pro scouts.

All ten teams from the Premier Division- the Islanders Hockey Club, Junior Bruins, Jersey Hitmen, South Shore Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, PAL Jr. Islanders, Connecticut Jr. Rangers, Springfield Pics, Syracuse Stars, and Okanagan Eagles- will be on hand for league games.

Elite Division action will consist of teams from all three divisions. The field consists of the Islanders Hockey Club, Atlanta Jr. Knights, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings, Bay State Breakers, New York Aviators, Junior Bruins, Carolina Eagles, Blaine Energy, Jersey Hitmen, Syracuse Stars, Florida Eels, Potomac Patriots, River Falls Renegades, South Shore Kings, Rochester Monarchs, Tampa Bay Juniors, Hampton Roads Whalers, Richmond Generals, Charlotte Rush, Forest Lake Lakers, PAL Jr. Islanders, Palm Beach Hawks, and Team Beijing.

A total of twenty-four teams from all four USP3HL divisions will be on hand as well. The teams competing are the Islanders Hockey Club, Atlanta Jr. Knights, Alpena Flyers, Junior Bruins, Carolina Eagles, Charlotte Rush, Daytona Racers, Florida Eels, Ironwood Yoopers, Florida Jr. Blades, Eugene Generals, Hampton Roads Whalers, Jersey Hitmen, Jersey Shore Whalers, Kalkaska Rhinos, Palm Beach Hawks, Potomac Patriots, Richmond Generals, Seattle Ravens, Springfield Pics, Tampa Bay Juniors, Traverse City North Stars, Tri-City Outlaws, and West Sound Warriors.

The Islanders Hockey Club, Syracuse Stars, Rochester Monarchs, and Connecticut Jr. Rangers make up the 18U field.

Appearances by the Islanders Hockey Club, Connecticut Jr. Rangers, Jersey Hitmen, New Jersey Rockets, Rochester Monarchs, and Syracuse Stars highlight 16U action.

“The Islanders Showcase is one of the most anticipated events of the season,” stated Islanders Hockey Club Premier Head Coach Sean Tremblay. “Its importance cannot be understated. It represents an opportunity for our team to gain valuable points within the USPHL standings, and an opportunity for our players to showcase their skills in front of hundreds of scouts.”
