The Florida Eels Elite team came back from a 3-1 deficit after the first period to topple the Tampa Juniors 6-3. This was a huge come back win for the Eels. In fact Jordan Court Eels Captain scored with only 23 seconds into the first period to make it 1-0 Eels. From the start of it the Eels looked like they were about to cripple the Tampa Juniors . But Tampa came storming back. At 4:11 Tampa tied it up and then scored a go ahead at 7:38 of the first period. Then Tampa opened the margin up at 18:41 and the Eels were on their heels as things seemed to look like they were coming unraveled. Coach Frankie Scarpaci calmly got his players back on track. We needed to settle a few guys down he echoed. We had to get our guys re-focused and stick to our system. That is exactly what they did. No panicking here. In the period 2 the Eels managed to tie the game with two goals.
Scoring in the second went as follows:
19 Michael Gennello (power play) (22 Jace Lis D’Alessandro, 20 Sven Nilsson
16 Zac Boyle (power play) (10 Brian Kozek, 9 Clayton Boyd)

In period three you could see the Eels came out with confidence. They also were the much more disciplined of the two teams. They only had 3 infractions for 6 minutes in penalties. Tampa went 0-3 on PP where the Eels capitalized on Tampa’s penaties going 3 for 5 which is a pretty good 60%.

In the 3rd the Eels opened things up with a sustained attack that thawed Tampa’s attempt to come back. Scoring for the Eels was as follows:
22 Jace Lis D’Alessandro (even strength) (19 Michael Gennello, 29 Nikita Lopatin
24 Terell Bolz (even strength) (19 Michael Gennello, 8 Mendell Dubuisson)
16 Zac Boyle (power play) (54 Jordan Court, 9 Clayton Boyd)
